A Sense of Place Through Travel and Art
My jewelry is created slowly. Each petal and leaf is picked then placed between book pages; they spends weeks drying to be preserved. Butterfly wings are found on long trails. Rocks and crystals are dug from the earth.
My jewelry showcases pieces of nature and the stories behind this beautiful earth. Peices are inspired by the ecology that ties us to the land. In my life I enjoy being an explorer; moving from place to place and learning every inch of it.
I try to pay attention. Some earrings are inspired by the moss conifer forests of coastal Maine, while some necklaces are made of agates dug in dry rugged western Montana. My jewlerly is made to represent that diversity of place and the stories place can hold.
